When looking for hotels in Asia, I usually book my accomodation via Booking.com. Their hotel rates are usually very good and they offer a pretty wide selection of hotels in each area. Quite often, their hotel rates are much better than what the hotels can offer themselves. Watch out for their Superdeals, they are unbeatable. We have not had problems using Agoda these past few years. On one occasion, we booked a hotel and later found out that it was cheaper on booking.com. After emailing them about it, they lowered the price for us without any fuss.

We tend to use Booking.com   for accommodation in North and South America. It is quite competitive in relation to Expedia. They are also quite good for Europe. They are worth checking out especially since these websites do show you the different rates for different days.
