I had a great time at Gwangjang Market.
Gwang Jang market is located at Yeji-dong, Jongno District. You can get there by getting off at Jongno 5-ga Station, line 1, exit 8.
You can spend many hours browsing through a wide selection of high-quality silk, satin and linen bed sheets and apparel. However my favourite activity is checking out the local dishes.
Bindaetteok (fried pancake made from ground mung beans) is a classic Korean dish.
There are my locals and toiurists sitting around fiery stoves drinking beer or soju, the local firewater. This place is a cheap and cheerful spot for a filling late-night snack.
Inside the market, find more than 200 food stalls selling a wide variety of snacksĀ from spicy Korean rice cakes to bibimbap (mixed rice).
I tried the gyung dan, sweet Korean rice balls, and hobaak jook, a delicious pumpkin porridge, hand made knive cut noodles and dumplings
