Hotels Near Kuala Lumpur Airport
KLIA2 has the Air Asia Tune ( basic) hotel, whilst over at KLIA1 there is the Concorde Inn KLIA1 and the 5* Sama Sama (previously was the Pan Pacific).
Sama Sama adjoins the KLIA1 terminal building. Both Concorde and Sama Sama have pools etc. These 3 hotels offer day rooms.
A Tip for Short Term stay at Airport: If you are just transiting and do not clear immigration or customs, there is also a ‘transit’ hotel within KLIA1 and KLIA2, called Sama Sama Express. If you don’t wish to check into the hotel ( to save on costs), you can pay a small fee and to use their private shower facilities. Towel, soap and shampoo will be provided.
The YouniQ Hotel
I stayed at one of the many budget hotel outside of the airport terminal as it is cheaper. The youniQ Hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the airport. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed to refresh and get ready for our next flight. They have many types of room to cater for family to backpackers dormitory. Airport pickup and drop off can be arranged for only RM5 each way. You need to arrange transfer in advance when you book.
This is definitely a great airport stopover hotel but I don’t think it would be good for any longer. The rooms and hotel itself is small, but that’s all we needed 🙂
Really good hotel! Not far from airport and very convenient for overnight stay. The airconditioner works well and the shower was great. They also have a laundry room, you just have to buy powder.
Our room in The youniQ Hotel
You can book a room with or without breakfast included and it was delicious, refillable coffee (proper coffee!) juice, all you can eat toast and Malaysian noodle soups that was yummy! As a stop over hotel, would definitely recommend it – real value for money and great service.
There are other hotel in that area called Sky Hotel and Sri Langit Hotel, but I didn’t stay there.
Restaurants/Cafe Near Hotel
There are quite a few restaurants/cafe around the corner from hotel. They open till quite late. Check out the various menu.
